Sharan Navaratra / Devi Navaratra is a festival which is celebrated in Ganagapur with a Great sense of Purity and Devotion to Goddess Amba Bhavani who is also the family deity / Kula Devata of all Kshetra Pujari’s. It spans for 9 days from Ashwina Shuddha Pratipada to Navami which generally falls in the Month of September / October. Akhanda Deeparadhana Seva at the Temple for complete 9 Days and Durga Saptashati Path / Parayan is performed for welfare of all Devotees.

On the day of Vijay Dashami / Dushera, a grand Palakhi Procession takes place in the Kshetra. The Utsav Murti of Shri Narasimha Saraswati Datta Maharaj is placed in the Palakhi and is taken to nearby Kalleshwar Mandir in the evening at 5pm. As a token of wishing prosperity to each other, people mutually exchange a Leaf called shamipathri after the worship is offered to the Shami Tree located beside Shanaishwar Temple. On the way back to Temple, the Villagers and the priest families offer Mangala Aarti to Sri Datta Guru in Palakhi. The Program concludes once the Palakhi reaches back to the Nirgun Math at around 8pm.

Durga Saptashati Path, 15 Days Akhanda Deeparadhana and Annadan can be done through us.
